Bayern Munich has officially begun the search for a replacement for French winger Kingsley Coman, who is on the verge of joining Saudi side Al Nassr during the current summer transfer window.
According to Sky Sports, Bayern’s sporting director, Max Eberl, is weighing several options to fill the void — either by bringing in a natural winger or adding other attacking reinforcements.
One of the standout names on their shortlist is 20-year-old Olympique Lyon talent Malik Fofana, admired for his impressive technical skills.
The club is also keeping tabs on Stuttgart striker Nick Völkmar as a potential addition to strengthen their front line, even though he would not be a like-for-like replacement for Coman.
Bayern and Al Nassr have reportedly reached an agreement over Coman’s transfer, with the Saudi club determined to secure the Frenchman’s signature.
Last season, Coman made 45 appearances for Bayern, amassing 2,089 minutes of playing time, in which he scored 9 goals and provided 6 assists.
